BMed FRACGP PGDipMSM ACSEP (Registrar)
Dr Andriy Boyko is an accredited registrar with the Australasian College of Sports and Exercise Medicine Physicians (ACSEP). He provides diagnosis and management for all sport-related medical and musculoskeletal complaints and is passionate about working with his local community. Dr Boyko welcomes all patients, from weekend warriors to elite athletes. A physiotherapy or GP referral is appreciated but not required.

Dr Boyko has experience in expedition medicine and providing medical care for elite athletes. He has worked with the Victorian Football League, A-League, NRL, Touch NSW and Gymnastics Australia. He also volunteers with local organisations, leading the medical team at the Port Macquarie Running Festival, providing medical care for the Port Macquarie Pirates rugby union club and patrolling with the Port Macquarie Surf Lifesaving Club. This year, as well as helping patients in Port Macquarie, he will be working in Newcastle with the Newcastle Knights and Dr Neil Halpin.

Prior to specialising in sports medicine, Dr Boyko completed his Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practice. He also has a postgraduate diploma in musculoskeletal medicine. He has been involved in research in the fields of endurance sports performance and exercise in sedentary populations.

Dr Boyko lives in Port Macquarie with his wife and daughter. Outside the practice, you’ll find him surfing, camping or getting involved with community sports.
